BGCTK’s website serves multiple audiences: families/parents, prospective donors/supporters, community partners, and youth participants. The organization has strong mission-driven content and a long history, but there are clear opportunities to improve clarity, engagement, navigation, and storytelling alignment with strategic communications goals.

NEW DESIGN

. Re-design the homepage with a strong focus on the user needs.

. Instead of separating content into specific sections for parents, donor, and youth – the site will be structured to let the users can easily access key functions and program directly from the main page.

. We suggest using a “We’d Love Your Feedback” box for parents to share any concerns, suggestions, or experiences.

NEW DESIGN

. A short description will be included within each program so users can easily find programs that best fit their child’s needs or the information they are looking for.

. We highlight the community’s history and 2025 statistics to engage both parents and donors and demonstrate our long-standing impact.

NEW DESIGN

The Racism and Discrimination Statement and Truth and Reconciliation Commitment have been moved to the homepage to improve visibility and transparency.

The same menu structure is used across both desktop and mobile versions to ensure users can easily access all information without missing key content.

Our primary focus is enabling users to find programs and information quickly and efficiently. Contact information for our sites is clearly placed at the bottom of the homepage for easy access.

NEW DESIGN

. Update the photos and videos of children and youth in the homepage slideshow to keep the site fresh, engaging, and up to date.

. We have updated the button labels to be more engaging and action-oriented. Instead of using “Learn More,” we now use clearer calls to action such as “Become a Member” and “Find Your Program” to better guide users.
